Making of himmelis (geometric ornaments) is an ancient tradition in the Baltic Sea region. Himmelis were believed to bring luck. especially cereal and fertility luck, and therefore they were made for Christmas, Easter, weddings and other celebrations.
This box consists really tiny reed straws and from one box You can make three regular polyhedrons – tetrahedron (6 pcs), the octahedron (12 pcs) and the icosahedron (30 pcs).
Octahedron measures are 4.33″ x 4.33″ (11 cm x 11 cm), icosahedron diameter is 5.90″ (15 cm).
