DIY himmeli kit “Basic”

Making of himmelis (geometric ornaments) is an ancient tradition in the Baltic Sea region. Himmelis were believed to bring luck, especially cereal and fertility luck, and therefore they were made for Christmas, Easter, weddings and other celebrations.

“Basic” box consists of 66 reed straws and You can decide from three options. You can make five octahedrons (5 x 12 pcs) or two icosahedrons (2 x 30 pcs) or one double octahedron (60 pcs). There is about 10% more materials than a need for making figures showed in the manual.

– copper wire hook
– instruction manual (in English, Finnish and Estonian)
